All Planned Indicators Achieved According to Papoyan
The Minister of Economy of Armenia, Gevorg Papoyan, wrote on his social media page that all indicators set by the government’s program for the intensive agriculture sector from 2021 to 2026 have been met according to the results of 2025, and in some cases, achieved two or three times more than planned.
“For example, it was planned to establish 1,000 hectares of intensive orchards each year, and in 4.5 years, 4,516 hectares have been established. The target has been set and achieved. Based on the results of the first half of this year, there will be a higher overachievement. It was expected that 3,000 hectares would be added with modern irrigation system technologies from 2021 to 2026. By December 31, 2025, there was already an increase of 7,000 hectares, meaning that currently it is almost 2.5 times more.”
“As for greenhouse economies, it was planned to establish about 45 hectares over 4.5 years, with an expectation of 10 hectares a year. However, approximately 80 hectares have already been established, and several dozen more will enter circulation this year,” the minister stated.
