Minimum Reimbursement Amount Set for Implementation of Universal Health Insurance
Recent reports circulating on the Telegram channel armgeopolitic, suggesting that the Ministry of Health is promoting a controversial draft that would reduce doctors' salaries, are not accurate. This was stated on the official Facebook page of the Ministry of Health.
"As part of the implementation of universal health insurance, a minimum reimbursement amount has been established. It is important to note that the amount of reimbursement does not determine the level of salaries. Medical organizations are autonomous in deciding the salary for each doctor; it must be no lower than the amount approved by the board of trustees of the fund. This likely sparked the rumors circulating on the Telegram channel," the post reads.
Regarding salary calculation by the owners of healthcare centers, it is emphasized that salaries are provided according to the contract signed between the employer and the employee. In healthcare centers operating under the Ministry of Health, which make up 60% of all centers, there has been no salary reduction.
