Iran-US Negotiations Kick Off in Oman

The Iran-US negotiations have commenced in Oman, as reported by Iranian media. The Iranian delegation is headed by Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi. The US delegation includes Jared Kushner, President Donald Trump's son-in-law, and the president's special representative, Steve Mnuchin.

Prior to the planned discussions with the US in Oman, Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi made a statement on the social media platform X. He noted, “Iran approaches diplomatic negotiations with open eyes and a clear memory of last year's events. We act in good faith and firmly defend our rights. Obligations must be fulfilled. Equal rights, mutual respect, and mutual interests are not mere rhetoric but necessities and the foundation for a lasting agreement.”
