Assassination Attempt Against Russian Lieutenant General; He Has Been Hospitalized

An assassination attempt has been made against Lieutenant General Vladimir Alexeyev in Moscow, as reported by Svetlana Petrenko, spokesperson for the Investigative Committee.

According to investigators, on February 6, an unknown individual opened fire on the general from a residential building on Volokolamskoye Highway and fled the scene. The victim has been hospitalized in a city hospital.

The assailant is still being sought. Investigators and forensic experts are reviewing surveillance footage and questioning witnesses.

A criminal case has been initiated on charges of attempted murder and illegal circulation of weapons.
