Erdogan Congratulates Pashinyan and Aliyev
The President of Turkey, Recep Tayyip Erdogan, has congratulated Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan of Armenia and President Ilham Aliyev of Azerbaijan on their selection for the 2026 'Zayed' Award for Human Brotherhood.
Erdogan praised both Aliyev and Pashinyan for their efforts and demonstrated determination towards establishing lasting peace. He expressed confidence that a new phase will begin for the South Caucasus following the implementation of a peace agreement agreed upon by the parties.
The Turkish President reiterated that Ankara sincerely supports all initiatives aimed at strengthening security, peace, prosperity, and stability in the region and around the world.
It was also noted that leaders from several countries, including the Presidents of Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, and Kyrgyzstan, as well as the Prime Minister of Pakistan and the President of Lebanon, have congratulated Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan and President Ilham Aliyev on their receipt of the 'Zayed' Award for Human Brotherhood.
