Scientists Develop New Hair Loss Treatment Against Cap Alopecia

Scientists have developed a new treatment for hair loss. They have proposed an unusual alternative to injections and hair transplants for addressing cap alopecia. Instead of fabric, it contains flexible OLED light sources that gently adhere to the head and are suitable for everyday wear.

The development was presented by researchers from South Korea in collaboration with the University of Hong Kong. The main difference is that the device is not rigid or heavy, unlike existing light-based devices intended for hair loss treatment.

This light activates the cells at the base of hair follicles and, according to the study, prevents their aging by about 92%.
