Cases of Acute Respiratory Infections Decrease

During the 5th week of 2026, a low activity of morbidity due to acute respiratory infections has been recorded in Armenia. This information was provided by the National Center for Disease Control and Prevention.

"The incidence of acute respiratory infections has decreased by 1.5 times compared to the previous week, and is 2.8 times lower than the same period in 2025. Nearly 80.3% of total cases involve individuals aged 0-18, with the highest rates continuing to be recorded among those aged 0-4 years.

In the Republic of Armenia, rhinoviruses, respiratory syncytial viruses, parainfluenza, adenoviruses, and COVID-19 pathogens continue to circulate.
