Strengthening Winds Expected in Certain Regions: Weather Forecast

Today and in the next three days, precipitation is expected in various regions of Armenia, with mixed rain and snow in the foreland and valley areas, and snow in the mountainous regions. This is reported by the Hydro-meteorological Center.

In certain mountainous areas, blizzards and reduced horizontal visibility are anticipated. During this period, strengthening winds with speeds of 17-20 m/s are also expected in some regions.

From February 1-3, fog is expected in the low-lying areas of the Shirak plain, the foothills of Aragatsotn and Kotayk, and in the Ararat plain during the night and morning hours.

Air temperature is expected to gradually rise by 2-4 degrees from February 1-3, and by 6-8 degrees in the Ararat plain and its foothills. Snow and mixed rain is also forecasted for Yerevan today and in the coming days. During the daytime, temperatures in the capital will fluctuate between +2 and +4 degrees, while at night, they will range from 0 to +2 degrees.
