The film about the First Lady of the United States, Melania Trump, is being showcased in theaters with one of the best debuts in documentary film in over a decade and could earn $8 million this weekend, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
The global premiere of the film titled "Melania" about the First Lady took place on Friday, January 30. According to reports, by noon on Friday, nearly all Hollywood studios predicted that "Melania" would earn between $8 and $9 million based on daytime and evening box office revenues and consultations with film distributors.
The report notes that the film enjoys significant popularity among conservatives in southern states, particularly among women over 55, who make up 72% of the premiere's audience. Previously, the media company Puck, citing data from the American National Research Group (NRG), claimed that the documentary film with a total budget of $75 million could earn about $5 million in the U.S. and Canada during its opening weekend.
