Americans Should Know That If They Start a War, This Time It Will Be Regional - Khamenei

Iran's Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei has declared that if the United States starts a war, it will take on regional dimensions. The Ayatollah made this statement during his first public appearance following widespread protests in the country, coinciding with a visit to the tomb of Islamic Revolution leader Ruhollah Khomeini.

“Americans should know that if they start a war, this time it will be a regional war. We do not initiate wars and do not wish to attack any country, but the Iranian people will decisively retaliate against anyone who attacks and causes harm,” he stated.

According to Ali Khamenei, the Iranian people should not fear statements by U.S. President Donald Trump regarding the transfer of significant amounts of weaponry to the Middle East.
