Military Police Vehicles Deployed Near Surb Astvatsatsin Church in Yerevan's Kanaker

A military police vehicle has been stationed near the Surb Astvatsatsin Church in the Kanaker district of Yerevan since the morning. The video was shared on social media by Father Psak Mkrtchyan.

“The Surb Astvatsatsin Church, belonging to the spiritual leadership of the Armenian Armed Forces, has been monitored by the Military Police since this morning. It is important to note that the Surb Astvatsatsin Church is part of the Mother See of Holy Etchmiadzin. It seems they want to obstruct the clergy's access to the church,” the clergy member wrote.

Later, the Ministry of Defense informed the media that the military police are carrying out routine services in the Kanaker-Zeytun administrative district of Yerevan.
