Bishops Summoned to the Investigative Committee: Ara Zohrapyan

Starting from this morning, summons are being handed to the episcopal members of the Supreme Spiritual Council through the police (some have already received them) to appear as defendants before the Investigative Committee today. Lawyer Ara Zohrapyan posted this on his Facebook page.

"The bishops are accused of committing acts that obstruct the enforcement of a judicial act. It is clear that this is yet another intervention in the internal affairs of the Church, the primary goal of which is to hinder the convening of the Bishops' Assembly. I regret that the head of the Investigative Committee has deviated from his mission and puts numerous conscientious investigators in that system in a poor position," he wrote.
