Possible Military Actions Against Iran on Trump's Table: The New York Times

U.S. President Donald Trump is considering options for possible military actions against Iran, including limited incursions by American armed forces into the country. This was reported by The New York Times, citing its sources.

According to the publication, in recent days the Pentagon has presented Trump with an expanded list of actions against Iran, which includes strikes on nuclear and missile infrastructure, as well as operations aimed at weakening the positions of the country's highest leadership. The proposals reportedly exceed the scope of previously discussed options and also include possible actions by American special forces within Iran.

The newspaper notes that Trump is demanding additional steps from Tehran towards reducing its nuclear program and ceasing support for armed groups that, in Washington's view, destabilize the Middle East and threaten the security of Israel. The White House is also discussing the appropriateness of previously voiced threats to use force, as well as the issue of regime change in Iran.

At the same time, sources indicate that Trump has not yet given final approval for military action and has not chosen any of the proposed scenarios. White House representatives state that the president remains open to a diplomatic solution, while the demonstration of military pressure is mainly aimed at pushing Tehran to negotiate.
