The Spiritual Leadership of the Armed Forces of Armenia Dissolved

The Spiritual Leadership of the Armed Forces of Armenia has been dissolved by order of the Minister of Defense, after providing spiritual service for over 20 years, as announced by Father Psak Mkrtchyan.

“We are no longer in our duties as clergymen. May God strengthen Our Church, our Homeland, and our Army...” he wrote.

It is noteworthy that the Spiritual Leadership of the Armed Forces was established on November 13, 1997, through the joint initiative of the late Catholicos Garegin I and Armenia's Minister of Defense Vazgen Sargsyan.
