We Have Not Granted Permission for Research in State Areas, Says Environment Minister
During the summary press conference of the Ministry of Environment for 2025, a journalist asked a question regarding foreign organizations conducting studies and sampling from the soil and tailings in various regions of Armenia, specifically mentioning the Czech organization "Arnika." Recently, they have been conducting research in the Syunik region, particularly regarding Kajaran.
To the question of whether the National Security Service (NSS) is aware of a foreign organization coming to Armenia and taking samples from tailings, Minister of Environment Hambardzum Matevosyan stated, "We have not granted permission for sampling or conducting research in state areas. If there is anything concerning, our law enforcement partners are either investigating or will investigate."
