Our President's Position: Peskov on Territorial Issues

The part of the "Ankhorij Resolution" that concerns territorial issues is fundamental for Russia, said Dmitry Peskov, the Press Secretary of the Russian President, to reporters.

"It is no secret for anyone that this is our consistent position, our President's position, that the territorial issue, which is part of the 'Ankhorij Resolution,' is of course fundamental significance for the Russian side," Peskov emphasized.

He noted that it would be wrong to expect any significant results from the initial trilateral contacts regarding the Ukrainian settlement.

"This is a very complex issue. However, the fact that these contacts have begun in a constructive manner can be viewed positively. However, there is still significant work ahead. Trilateral discussions on the resolution of the Ukrainian conflict are scheduled to continue next week. At this moment, I cannot provide you with a specific date," the Kremlin spokesman added.
