Iran's Foreign Ministry Comments on US Military Activity
Iranian military personnel are closely monitoring the movements of the US Armed Forces in the Middle East and are taking necessary measures to strengthen the country's defense capabilities. This was reported by Esmail Baghaei, a spokesperson for the Iranian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, in response to President Donald Trump's statements regarding the deployment of multiple US ships to the region.
“Sending any ships to the region will in no way affect Iran’s determination to defend its sovereignty. The Islamic Republic of Iran is closely watching all movements while not losing a moment in reinforcing its defense capabilities, national sovereignty, and the protection of the country's dignity,” said Baghaei during a weekly press conference.
On January 23, Donald Trump announced that the US is monitoring Iran and deploying significant forces to the region. According to him, many ships are heading in that direction, forming a large fleet. Earlier, the US president had stated that he was seriously considering the possibility of using force against the Islamic Republic of Iran.
