US Vice President's Upcoming Visit to Armenia and Azerbaijan

US President Donald Trump has announced via social media that Vice President Mike Pence is scheduled to visit Armenia and Azerbaijan in February to promote the regional peace process.

Trump expressed gratitude to Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev and Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan for maintaining the peace agreement reached during his presidency, stating, "This was a hard-fought war, but now we have prosperity and peace." He added that the purpose of Pence's visit is to deepen relations with both countries and strengthen US engagement in the region's economic and strategic initiatives.

Trump noted that a peace nuclear cooperation agreement with Armenia is planned, as well as new deals in the American semiconductor production sector. Additionally, according to Trump, Azerbaijan will be presented with defense equipment produced in the United States, including body armor and ships.
