Trump Threatens Canada

U.S. President Donald Trump has announced that the United States will impose a 100% tariff on Canadian goods if Ottawa comes to an agreement with Beijing.

“If Governor Carney thinks that Canada is turning into a 'entry port' for China to transfer goods to the U.S., he is mistaken. China will completely swallow Canada, entirely destroy it, including its economy,” Trump wrote.

He concluded his remarks with a warning: “If Canada reaches an agreement with China, it will immediately face a 100% tariff on all Canadian goods entering the U.S.”
