Narek Ohanyan Requests House Arrest

In the case of the murder of Parakar community leader Valodya Grigoryan, defendant Narek Ohanyan today asked the court to consider the psychological distress of his children. He stated that he and his brother grew up together, their parents died early, and since February 5, the children have not been informed that their uncle is no longer alive.

"My children spent their first New Year without their uncle and without me. I ask you to pay attention only to the psychological state of my children. I do not wish to comment on financial matters," Ohanyan stated.

It should be noted that his defense has requested the court to change the measure of restraint and apply house arrest. The court rejected the motion and extended the detention of defendants Narek Ohanyan and Gevorg Harutyunyan in the murder case of Valodya Grigoryan for another three months.
