Up to 3 Years Without Membership Fee for Joining the 'Peace Council': Ministry of Foreign Affairs
The charter of the 'Peace Council' provides for membership to the Council on a voluntary financial contribution basis. A country invited by U.S. President Trump can join the council without a set membership fee for a period of up to three years, which is subject to review after that period ends. This was stated by Ani Badalyan, the spokesperson for the Armenian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, in response to a query from 1lurer.am, outlining the procedure for Armenia's membership in the 'Peace Council.'
"The Armenian government has approved the membership to the 'Peace Council' on these terms. The membership fee you are referring to is voluntary and applies to any country wishing to express a desire for permanent membership within one year after the charter's entry into force," said Ani Badalyan.
It is noteworthy that Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan has signed the charter of the 'Peace Council.'
