The Number of Journalists Killed in Gaza Due to Israeli Strikes Reaches 260

According to the data from the Palestinian government, the total number of journalists killed due to Israeli strikes in Gaza has reached 260. This figure has increased after three more media representatives were killed in an airstrike today.

The Gaza government’s Media Office reported that the latest strike resulted in the deaths of journalists Abdurrauf Samir Shaat, Muhammad Salah Kishtan, and Anas Abdullah Gunaym, who were collaborating with various media outlets. The Palestinian side asserts that this was a targeted attack.

The authorities in Gaza have called on the International Federation of Journalists, the Arab Journalists Federation, and international media organizations to respond to the actions against journalists and to take steps to hold the perpetrators accountable in international courts.

Earlier, the head of the Gaza Ministry of Health, Munir al-Bursh, reported that the three journalists were killed as a result of an airstrike in southern Gaza City. According to Palestinian sources, over 71,000 Palestinians have been killed since the escalation of attacks that began on October 8, 2023, more than 171,000 have been injured, and a significant portion of civilian infrastructure has been damaged. The same sources indicate that strikes and humanitarian supply restrictions have continued even after the ceasefire announced on October 10.
