Spotty Black Ice: Road Conditions Update

As of 16:30, all inter-state and republican roads in Armenia are open. This information has been provided by the Road Department. Organizations responsible for road maintenance are continuing their work on clearing and treating the roads with salt and sand.

The road from the Jermuk intersection to Kapan is closed for vehicles with trailers. The Vardenyats Pass is passable for vehicles with trailers only with the use of snow chains.

For safety reasons, the Ttujur-Navur road is closed for all vehicles. In the Tashir region, from the Dilijan tunnel to the Tsovak village, there is a snowstorm in the Chambarak Pass.

Local black ice is present on roadways in the regions of Aparan, Aragatsotn, Sevan, Dilijan, Chambarak, Martuni, Gavar, Abovyan, Hrazdan, Nairi, Sisian, Goris, Ashotsk, and Amasia. A statement urges drivers to be cautious, strictly adhere to traffic regulations, and travel exclusively with winter tires.
