I Feel That Ukraine, the US, and Europe Are on the Same Page: Finnish President
Europe, the United States, and Ukraine are working on five to seven documents aimed at resolving the Ukrainian conflict, announced Finnish President Alexander Stubb.
“I am more optimistic about the peace process. Why? Because I now feel that Ukraine, the United States, and Europe are on the same page. We are working on about five to seven documents, such as the main documents, a 20-point program, security guarantees, and a 'prosperity program,'” Stubb told CNN.
In December, Stubb stated that Europe lacks an independent solution to resolve the Ukrainian conflict, and that three documents are being discussed with the United States: the 20-point program, security guarantees, and Ukraine's reconstruction.
Russia has repeatedly expressed its readiness for a peaceful resolution in Ukraine, including participating in discussions of a peace plan proposed by the US. However, the willingness of Kyiv’s regime to negotiate is questionable. The Kremlin has stated that it is time for Kyiv’s regime to begin negotiations, and the offensive actions of the Russian armed forces are an attempt to enforce a peaceful resolution.
