In 2025, 6 Deaths Related to Service Recorded in the Army - Papikyan

In 2025, there have been 6 deaths related to service, including one due to lightning, one from electrocution, two suicides, and two due to health issues. This was announced by the Minister of Defense, Suren Papikyan, during a Q&A session with the National Assembly, responding to discussions about deaths in the army.

“From January 1 to December 31, 2025, 30 servicemen died, 24 of which were not connected to service. This includes cases of illness and accidents,” the minister presented.

Suren Papikyan urged parliamentarians and political figures not to become heralds of death and mourning.
