Court Orders Harutyun Mkrtchyan to Apologize to Samvel Karapetyan, Lawyer Says

Harutyun Mkrtchyan, a member of the Republic Party and candidate for mayor in the upcoming November 2025 local elections in Vagharsapat, is required to publicly apologize to businessman and philanthropist Samvel Karapetyan for offensive remarks.

The court in Lori Province partially upheld the lawsuit filed by the lawyer, Vardan Aloyan, and mandated that Mkrtchyan apologize for his derogatory statements. The court noted that Mkrtchyan's Facebook post contained offensive expressions, for which he must issue a public apology. The ruling will take legal effect in one month.
