Authorities Must Acknowledge Their Governance Mistakes, Pezeshkian Says
The President of Iran, Masoud Pezeshkian, has stated that authorities must acknowledge their mistakes in managing the country, warning that ignoring public protests will only lead to anger, violence, and alienation.
“We must accept that we have made mistakes in governance. If we do not acknowledge our errors and try to correct them, but rather blame others, we will not achieve anything,” Pezeshkian noted.
He emphasized that public discontent will grow if governmental bodies remain indifferent to the demands and issues of the poor. Pezeshkian added, “When all institutions and bodies ignore the needs and problems of vulnerable groups, we cannot expect society not to move towards violence, apathy, and alienation from the country and the system.”
