“Samvel Karapetyan still needs inpatient treatment, for which there are proper documents. There is no second opinion on this. We will understand the mechanisms, as ultimately, it is not just our wish, but it has come to the point where the investigator and the prosecutor need to make a decision regarding the individual’s proper medical assistance. Let's see what decision they will make,” stated lawyer Aram Vardevanyan during a conversation with journalists near Karapetyan's home.

The lawyer emphasized that one thing is clear: Samvel Karapetyan had no health issues as such until June 18, 2025.

“What has happened to Samvel Karapetyan—pneumonia, fibrosis, the COVID epidemic—should be viewed as a deliberate intention on the part of responsible officials, as well as political officials, in terms of infringing upon Karapetyan's health. We are looking at objective data to make these claims, but rest assured, all of these health issues will be overcome,” Vardevanyan declared. Earlier, it was reported that Samvel Karapetyan was transferred from the NSS isolation facility to his home.
