High-Tech Border Control Technologies to Be Implemented in TRIPP Project, Says Pashinyan
High-tech border and customs control technologies will be implemented within the framework of the TRIPP project, which will also be applied at other border points in the country, including the "Zvartnots" airport. This was stated by Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan during an informal meeting with representatives from the fields of information technology, artificial intelligence (AI), telecommunications, and other technological sectors.
In this context, the Prime Minister emphasized the importance of implementing a biometric passport system. Subsequently, the head of state spoke about the significance of integrating artificial intelligence in enhancing management efficiency and developing the institute for assessing regulatory impact.
Pashinyan stressed that the development of the technological sector cannot occur without advancements in the education sector. "Thus, everything we are doing in general education, including preschool education, vocational training, higher education, and postgraduate education, is about technology," said Nikol Pashinyan.
Among the discussed topics were the expected policy in the field of AI, the role of AI, high and information technologies in the state's economic growth doctrine, measurable objectives, as well as educational reforms, staff retraining, and the development of new specialists in the sector.
