King Charles III's State Visit to the US Canceled Due to Trump's Actions
Member of the UK Parliament, Simon Hoare, has called for the cancellation of King Charles III's state visit to the United States, citing actions taken by President Donald Trump.
On Saturday, Trump announced the imposition of a 10% tariff on Denmark, Norway, Sweden, France, Germany, the UK, the Netherlands, and Finland, set to increase to 25% and remain in effect until the US finalizes a deal to purchase Greenland.
"The upcoming state visit of the King to the US should be canceled. The civilized world can no longer tolerate Trump. He is a pirate gangster," Hoare wrote on social media.
The Times previously reported, citing a source, that King Charles III is scheduled to visit the US in 2026. This would mark the first visit by a reigning monarch since Queen Elizabeth II in 2007.
