Germany Calls on the US to Withdraw Troops from Its Territory

The withdrawal of US troops and nuclear weapons from Germany is essential, alongside the planned deployment of US missiles in Germany, stated Sevim Dagdelen, an expert on foreign policy from the German 'Party of Wisdom and Justice' (SWJ). This statement follows US President Donald Trump's announcement about tariffs against Greenland.

On Saturday, Trump declared a 10% tariff on Denmark, Norway, Sweden, France, Germany, Great Britain, the Netherlands, and Finland, which will later increase to 25% until a deal for the purchase of Greenland by the United States is concluded. "American soldiers must finally be withdrawn from Germany. At the same time, American nuclear bombs should be removed from Büchel. Moreover, the planned deployment of American intermediate-range missiles, which makes Germany an even greater target, must be halted," Dagdelen wrote on the social media platform X.

According to an investigative project by WikiLeaks, US nuclear weapons were stationed at the Büchel Air Base in Rhineland-Palatinate in 2010.
