German Troops Leave Greenland
A group of 15 Bundeswehr soldiers left Greenland prematurely, flying out from the island's capital, Nuuk. According to Bild, the order to return was received from Germany that morning, and all planned activities were canceled.
The official reasons for the sudden departure have not been disclosed. One theory suggests that the decision may be linked to escalating tensions surrounding Greenland and new trade threats from U.S. President Donald Trump, but there has been no official confirmation of this.
The German troops had been on the island for a few days as part of a NATO mission at the invitation of Denmark.
