Syrian Army Declares Complete Control Over Deir Hafir

The command of the Syrian Arab Army has announced, “The forward units of the Syrian Arab Army have begun to enter the areas to the west of the Euphrates, starting from the city of Deir Hafir,” according to the Al-Ikhbariyah television channel.

Previously, the army had urged citizens not to enter the areas of military operations until they are fully secured and cleared of mines and remnants of war, citing safety concerns.

This action comes after Ferhat Abdi Sahin, the leader of the YPG/SDF terrorist group, which was targeted by the army's military operations west of the Euphrates, announced that terrorist elements would retreat to areas east of the river starting at 7 a.m. local time (04:00 GMT).
