Former NATO Secretary General Accuses Trump of Distracting Attention from Ukraine

Former NATO Secretary General and former Prime Minister of Denmark Anders Fogh Rasmussen has compared the statements made by U.S. officials about Greenland to gangster language and accused President Donald Trump of diverting global attention from Ukraine.

“We see that the United States is using very similar language to those gangsters they should control in Moscow, Beijing, and so on... I am really concerned that the world’s attention is now focused on something that poses a threat neither to Europe nor to the United States, namely Greenland, instead of focusing on Ukraine,” Rasmussen said in an interview with the Financial Times.

According to the publication, the former NATO Secretary General noted that the U.S. grabbing Greenland would signify the “end of the world order” as we know it.
