The Story of 1 Dram Salary for the Prime Minister Has Long Been Known: Arsen Torosyan
In recent days, discussions have been circulating regarding the salaries or other forms of compensation received by state officials, including allowances, bonuses, and more. The question arises: what is the real corruption here?
When I was appointed Minister of Health in 2018, I began to investigate these matters. I wanted to see how much our hospital directors were earning. An example that is well-known to everyone is the Holy Grigor Lusavorich Medical Center, the largest hospital we still have, previously managed by Mikhael Minasian, who is the father of Serj Sargsyan's son-in-law, Mishik. His salary was 250,000 drams, while the hospital's budget was 8 billion drams. Just imagine how a hospital director could live on a salary of 250,000 drams.
Of course, I dismissed him from his position in August 2018, and then everything was revealed.
This was shared in a video published by the Minister of Labor and Social Affairs, Arsen Torosyan. For more details, watch the video.
