Social Package Beneficiaries Can Use Funds for Insurance Premiums of Related Persons

Starting from January 1, 2026, the requirement for social package beneficiaries to undergo mandatory preventive health examinations has been abolished. This was announced by the Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs.

“A social package beneficiary can allocate their social package funds (for example, 6,000 drams monthly) to pay for the insurance premium for Universal Health Insurance by submitting a request to their employer. The beneficiary can also use their social package funds to cover the insurance premium of a related person (such as a parent, spouse, child, adoptive parent, adopted child, guardian, or ward).

At the end of each year, beneficiaries can cash out the funds in their social package account as of January 1 of the current year, taking into account the total amount of insurance premiums transferred to the Insurance Fund for the previous year. This cashing out of accumulated funds no longer requires undergoing mandatory medical examination.
