Yegoyan on Solovyov's Statement: 'A Special Military Operation Should Start in Armenia'
I have been searching in the Armenian press for the statement made by Vladimir Solovyov, a journalist from the Russian state television, that a special military operation should begin in Armenia. Not only can I not find that statement, but I also do not see any discussions, questions, inquiries, opinions, debates, urgent press conferences, or emergency gatherings regarding it.
I have only seen a couple of people expressing their opinions on the matter. When will our free press begin discussions about the essence of what was said? This statement was made by Arman Yegoyan, a member of the 'Civil Contract' faction.
“The words of both known and unknown Turkish and Azerbaijani journalists, experts, bloggers, and random passersby, being brought into Armenian media and used to construct geopolitical analyses, are met with silence. The opposition is silent too. Among our numerous Turkey experts, Azerbaijan experts, grain experts, and gasoline experts, is there not at least a couple of Russian studies experts who could offer an expert opinion? After all, while the laboratory examination of Kazakh wheat is reaching the far corners of Central Asia, the fabricated news from an unknown Turkish journalist about supposedly building 10 mosques in Armenia is being spread, yet Mr. Solovyov is being ignored.
Ladies and gentlemen, why are you not informing our public about this threat coming from Russia and interpreting it? Why is it not a topic for discussion? Is it less significant than what someone named Okay Deprim has said? Does it not deserve even a fraction of the attention given to a website that spread fake news about the Prime Minister supposedly buying a house in Marseille? Are you not taking his words seriously, or do you think he hasn't said anything wrong?” said Arman Yegoyan, President of the NA Standing Committee on European Integration and a member of the 'Civil Contract' faction.
