Venezuela Releases 116 Prisoners

Venezuela has released 116 prisoners. They were accused of violating constitutional order and stability in the country. This was announced by the government of Venezuela.

“In recent hours, a decision has been made to release 116 prisoners, in addition to the 187 individuals whose release was decided in December. These measures have affected prisoners convicted of actions related to attempts to violate constitutional order and undermine the stability of the country,” the government stated.

It was also noted that the decision to release the prisoners was made following a review of cases initiated by President Nicolás Maduro. This process has been ongoing under the leadership of presidential commissioner Delsi Rodríguez.
