The Armenian People Will Have a Historic Opportunity to Change the Authority They Created Themselves in a Few Months, Edmon Marukyan

I have noticed that recently many political figures and experts declare that a change of power is possible, but not through elections, rather through other processes. This was stated by Edmon Marukyan, the leader of the "Bright Armenia" party, on his Telegram channel.

"I want to understand whose interests those expressing such thoughts are serving. Is it not in the interests of the current authorities for the people not to associate hope with the elections and not to participate in them? If you do not believe that a change of power is possible through elections, why not change the authorities before the elections... I assert that in the Republic of Armenia, power belongs to the people, and the people exercise their power through elections and referendums. The Armenian people will have a historic opportunity in a few months to change the authority they themselves created.

People need to be motivated to use this opportunity correctly, rather than being discouraged, held back from the elections, without proposing any real solutions in return," he wrote.
