Truck Overturns on Vanadzor-Alaverdi Highway, Injuries Reported

On January 11, at 14:26, the emergency management center of the Lori regional rescue department received a report that a truck had overturned near the village of Vahagnadzor. There was a citizen trapped inside the vehicle, according to the Ministry of Emergency Situations.

Two firefighting units from the Ministry of Emergency Situations' regional rescue department were dispatched to the scene. It was determined that a "MAN" brand truck (loaded with laminate) had veered off the roadway and flipped over at about the 20th kilometer of the Vanadzor-Alaverdi highway, making the road one-way. Fuel was leaking from the truck.

Rescuers extricated the driver from the truck cabin and brought him to an ambulance. The injured individual was hospitalized at a medical center. The rescuers also disconnected the truck's power supply, removed the spilled laminate from the roadway, and carried out road cleaning operations.
