Blizzard and Black Ice: Road Conditions in Armenia

The Ministry of Emergency Situations of Armenia has reported that certain roadways across the country are experiencing blizzard conditions and black ice, leading to closed roads. In particular, blizzard conditions have been noted in the regions of Aparan, Aragats, as well as black ice on the roads in Sevan, Chambarak, Martuni, Gavar, Abovyan, Hrazdan, Nairi, Goris, Sisian, Ashotik, and Amassia.

The Vardenyats Pass is closed to truck trailers due to the blizzard. Roads leading to the Amberd Fortress and Karih Lake from the Amberd high-altitude meteorological station in Aragatsotn Province are also closed.
