Avalanche in the Mountains of Georgia Buries Russian Tourists
An avalanche in the mountains of Georgia has reportedly buried a group of Russian tourists, who have been trapped under the snow for approximately three hours. Rescuers are currently searching for them, according to the Telegram channel Shot.
According to the channel, the avalanche occurred on the Tetnuldi peak in the Upper Svaneti region. It has buried a group of around 20 people, including several Russians, who were skiing and snowboarding.
Several individuals managed to escape on their own. One person was rescued with the help of other tourists and is currently alive and hospitalized. Another individual was found in a state of unconsciousness, and their condition remains uncertain.
The exact number of those trapped under the snow is still unknown. The rescue operation has been ongoing for approximately three hours.
