World Is Being Divided Among Powers: Macron Appeals to Superpowers

French President Emmanuel Macron has stated that the United States, Russia, and China are attempting to "divide the world among themselves." He made this announcement during a meeting in Paris that was attended by more than 150 ambassadors, as reported by The New York Times.

According to Macron, the contemporary international system is in a serious crisis. He assessed that the world has become "ungovernable" because the rules that previously operated are being largely ignored, and cooperation between nations has significantly weakened.

The French president pointed out that instead of cooperation, there are attempts by major powers to reshape geopolitical spheres of influence and divide them among themselves. He emphasized that such trends threaten international stability.

Macron noted that the U.S., Russia, and China have gradually distanced themselves from some of their allies over the past few years and have rejected the international norms that they themselves once promoted not too long ago. He asserted that these changes are deepening distrust in international relations.
