Several Thousand Tons of Fuel Coming from Azerbaijan, Including Regular This Time - Papoyan

The same suppliers are involved this time as well as last time. I believe that our other importers should negotiate and get cheaper prices from their suppliers because if a competitor product appears in the Armenian market that is 80 or 100 drams cheaper, naturally, they need to go explain to their suppliers and say that we also need to have lower prices. As a result, our citizens will eventually have fuel that is 80, 100, or 60 drams cheaper, which, of course, will affect overall welfare and competitiveness. This was stated by the Minister of Economy Gevorg Papoyan during a conversation with journalists.

In response to the question of how much fuel is currently coming from Azerbaijan and which companies purchased it, Papoyan answered that several thousand tons are arriving. 'A few thousand tons are coming, and the news is that not only premium fuel is coming but also regular and diesel, and it will arrive in the coming days. Let's do this; it shouldn’t be a sensation—sensation is when something is new. Frankly, I will no longer be involved in this process because it is on the rails and will go on its way.'
