Iran Does Not Seek War with Either the United States or Israel, Foreign Minister

Iran does not wish for war with either the United States or Israel. The country is committed to negotiations but ready for any developments, stated Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi during his visit to Lebanon.

Araqchi arrived in the Lebanese capital Beirut on Thursday. At a press conference following his arrival, the minister announced that the main goal of his visit was to consult with Lebanese government officials regarding developments in the region.

"We are fully ready for any development. We are not proponents of war, but we are prepared for it. We are also ready for negotiations based on mutual benefit and respect. When the U.S. agrees that negotiations and coercion are two different things, then meaningful negotiations can begin," Araqchi said during the press conference broadcast by the Iranian SNN news agency.
