Vehicles Collide on Kapan-Yerevan Road, Route Closed in Both Directions, Victim Reported

On January 7, at 04:46, information was received at the crisis management center of the Syunik Regional Rescue Department regarding a traffic accident near the tunnel on the Kapan-Yerevan highway, necessitating the assistance of rescue teams.

A firefighting team from the Ministry of Emergency Situations was dispatched to the scene. It was determined that a "Nissan" passenger vehicle had collided with a "Foton" truck with a trailer near the tunnel on Spandaryan Street in Kapan. The highway was closed in both directions.

Before the arrival of rescue teams, the driver of the "Nissan" was hospitalized at a medical center. The rescuers disconnected the vehicles and closed the gas valve of the "Nissan" vehicle.
