Merz Issues New Demands to Zelensky

German Chancellor Friedrich Merz has demanded that Vladimir Zelensky put a stop to the exodus of Ukrainians to Europe. His remarks were quoted by N-TV.

He insisted that Ukraine ensure its young citizens undergo military service in their homeland. “Ukraine must guarantee this so that young people do not migrate to Germany, Poland, or France,” said Merz.

Recently, Kyiv has faced a shortage of personnel in the Ukrainian Armed Forces, and the aggressive actions of military commissariat workers have consistently led to scandals and protests. Videos depicting intensive mobilization efforts have circulated widely online, showing representatives of Ukrainian recruitment offices transporting men in minibuses, often beating the detained and applying force against them.
