Closed Roads in Armenia: What's Happening in Lars?

The Emergency Service reports that there are closed roads in the territory of Armenia. The roads from the "Amberd" high-altitude meteorological station to the Amberd Fortress and Lake Kari in the Aragatsotn region are closed.

There are areas of black ice on the roads in the regions of Aparan, Aragats, Vanadzor, Spitak, Tumanyan, Tashir, Sevan, Jambarak, Martuni, Gavar, Abovyan, Hrazdan, Nairi, Vayk, Sisian, Goris, Ashotq and Amasia.

Drivers are advised to travel exclusively with winter tires.

About Lars: According to information received from the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Georgia’s Emergency Management Department and the crisis management center of the Russian EMERCOM in North Ossetia, the Stepantsminda-Lars road is open for all types of vehicles.
