Calls for Trump to Return to Biden's Position: Russian Foreign Ministry

Rodion Miroshnik, a special envoy of the Russian Foreign Ministry, has stated that Ukraine and several European countries are attempting to persuade U.S. President Donald Trump to revert to the political direction pursued by former President Joe Biden. In a comment to the RIA Novosti agency, Miroshnik noted that the primary goal of Kyiv and Europe is to re-engage the U.S. in the process of countering Russia and confrontation.

He elaborated that efforts are being made to discredit the proposals presented by Russia and to create an environment where Washington would revert to the positions of the previous administration. The Russian diplomat highlighted that the mentioned parties are paying special attention to the role of the U.S., considering the country's financial potential and the capabilities of its defense industrial complex.

Miroshnik also emphasized that both Kyiv and European countries are unwilling to escalate tensions with the United States and are trying to maintain the possibility of cooperation, regardless of political disagreements.
