The US Creates a 'Highly Dangerous Precedent' in Venezuela: The Guardian
Governments of Spain, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Mexico, and Uruguay have issued a joint statement in response to what they termed the 'seriousness of events in Venezuela,' declaring that US actions 'create a highly dangerous precedent for peace and regional security and endanger the civilian population,' according to The Guardian.
Citing the Trump administration's claims that the US will 'manage' Venezuela and control oil production, the six governments also expressed concern regarding 'any attempt to establish external control, management, or appropriation of natural or strategic resources.'
Earlier reports indicated that Maduro had surrendered to American troops.
